The idea of restoring passenger rail service between Kittitas and King Counties, with stops at Ellensburg, Cle Elum, Easton
and Auburn has been discussed ever since 2001. Finally, the idea is ready to take the first step toward reality, with the
County Commissioners' decision in August 2007 to submit the proposal to the voters at the general election.
How do we find out if passenger rail service is really feasible or not? Who would ride it, what would they have to pay,
what kind of equipment would be used, what would the schedules look like--all of these "real-world" questions, and
more, can and will be answered, if you and your neighbors vote YES for the County Rail District.
